Hi, I’m Mariay.

I’m a bridal hair specialist with 10+ years of experience, a cosmetology license from Paul Mitchell (2016), and a slightly unexpected path into the beauty industry.

I grew up with parents who are both professors, so becoming a hairstylist was definitely a bit of a switch-up for my family. Luckily, they were always incredibly supportive of me finding my own path.

And looking back, the signs were there pretty early.

My love for hair started in high school when I was on the cheer and dance team. Before performances, my coach would send the girls to me whenever they needed help with their hair. That quickly turned into doing hair for prom, homecoming, dances, and pretty much any excuse I could find to get my hands in someone’s hair.

Eventually, I realized this wasn’t just something I enjoyed doing.

It was what I wanted to do.

That led me to Paul Mitchell, where I earned my cosmetology license in 2016, and over the last decade, I’ve continued to grow my craft — eventually finding my favorite place in the industry: bridal hair.

There’s something about bridal hair that completely lights up my creative brain.

Give me a piled-high upstyle or a really good snatched half-up and I’m in my happy place.

The right placement can completely transform someone’s features. It can lift, elongate, soften, frame, and create balance in a way that makes the entire look feel different. I love figuring out those little details that make a style feel like you, just elevated. Or heck, if you want to look like your alter ego for the day - IM SO IN! I want to create your version of beautiful.

My work is refined, polished, secure, and designed to last. But the experience matters just as much to me as the hair. I want you to feel comfortable in my chair. I want you to feel heard when we’re talking through your vision. I want you to be able to trust me with the tiny details and the big decisions. And I want your wedding morning to feel fun — not like another appointment you have to check off your list. Because yes, we’re here to create the hair. But we’re also here for the “getting-ready with the girls” memories, the champagne, the happy tears, the last-minute touch-ups, the inevitable mini dance party, and all those little moments you’ll remember long after the pins come out.
